Deep ethnobotanical survey of Anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) in Morocco: variation of therapeutic uses, sources of information, and efficacy

Background: An extensive ethnomedicinal analysis of anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) in Morocco was conducted as part this study. We aimed to compile information on its medicinal uses and the amounts consumed by locals. Methods: Interviews were seven Moroccan sites during 2019 2020. The plant primarily utilized herbalists food (18.93%), digestive disorders laxatives while users use Dysmenorrhea (34.85%), anti-constipation (33.02%), antitussive (21.31%), promote Milk flow (10.82%). Other used an (12.47%) a treatment (15.81%), 14.92% encourage milk flow. Participants dried form alone, usage like Tisane infusion all investigated sites. However, studied parameters varied among tested Conclusions: new could be great expanding knowledge flora conserving ancestors' Morocco's Middle Atlas Saiss Plain.
